Welcome to My Practice

Welcome. Finding the right counsellor is an important step, and I'm here  to support you on that journey. I have always felt drawn to this field, and my valuable life experience and formal training since 2018 have solidified my calling to help others.

You deserve the best support which is why I'm dedicated to continuous professional development and participate in regular, varied training to ensure my methods are effective for your needs.

Experience & Qualifications

• BACP Accredited Member: In 2023, I became an Accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), a quality standard that demonstrates committed experience and ethical practice. 

• Core Qualifications: My training includes an 'Introduction to Counselling,' a 'Certificate in Counselling,' and an 'Advanced Professional Diploma in Counselling Theory and Therapeutic Practice.' The diploma allowed me to experience my own counselling journey, which helps me understand what it's like to sit in the clients chair, it also enabled me to volunteer in local-low cost services as a trainee and then a qualified counsellor. 

• Specialist areas: I have completed a 'Certificate in Couple and Relationship Counselling' and am comfortable and experienced in supporting couples. I have also done extensive training in sexual abuse as I previously worked for an abuse charity.

Community Involvement

Volunteering has been a core part of my professional life, providing me with diverse and valuable experiences in the community.

• The Quiet Mind Centre (Exmouth):

       Volunteered my time here, providing accessible support to those on low incomes.

• Parental Minds (Honiton):

      Offered Counselling services to parents and carers.

• Surviving Abuse (North Devon):

      Provided dedicated counselling to survivors of sexual abuse and their family members from 2021-2024.

Current Work

I currently balance my time between my private practice and working as a counsellor for various Employee Assistance Programmes (EAPs) and insurance companies. I value the diverse range of experiences that come my way and look forward to potentially supporting you.
