EAP & Insurance
Navigating payment options for therapy can sometimes feel overwhelming, so I've put together this guide to clarify how you can use your Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) or Private Health Insurance to cover your sessions. The goal is to make accessing support as smooth and straightforward as possible for you.
Using your EAP
An EAP is a workplace benefit that many employers offer to support their staff's well-being. These programmes are designed to provide free, confidential, short-term counselling for any personal or work-related concerns that may be impacting your health or performance.
Each EAP is slightly different, but the core aim is to give you a safe space to talk things through. You can often access support fairly quickly and then have a number of planned sessions with a qualified counsellor.
The current EAP I work on behalf of is Health Assured.
Using your Private Health Insurance
If you have private health insurance as part of your work package, you may be able to claim for your therapy sessions.
